James S. Brown

James S. Brown, 77, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  

Memorial service is will 10:30am Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Jim’s memory be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for the kitchen renewal.

James was born on May 3, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to James E. and Louella (Graham) Brown. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force as well as a member of the Elks Lodge in Harrisonville, Missouri and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. James worked as a pipe fitter with the Local Union 533 for 50 years.

James wishes were that he be able to donate his body to science with KU Medical Center’s body donation program, but was turned down because he was an amputee.

James is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ardyce P. Brown; his two children, Georgia Renee Jenkins and James Lamb Brown; his step daughter, Priscilla Scott; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step son, John B. “Jack” Johnson, Jr.
