Larry R. Winn

Larry R. Winn, 59 of Lee’s Summit, Mo. passed away May 31, 2012 at Lee’s Summit Hospital after a long struggle with congestive heart failure. He was surrounded by his family, including his wife and soul mate of 33 years, Debbie. He leaves behind his daughter Tiffany of the home, and son Tim, (Michelle) and three granddaughters Natasha, Nataly, and Nevaeh of Blue Springs, Mo. Sister in law Lisa Britz, (Larry),and many nieces and nephews. Larry was cremated, with a private family service.

Larry was a lifelong Lee’s Summit resident, graduating from LSHS class of 1971. He was in the grocery business until his disability. Larry was an avid animal lover, loved NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, as well as all Sports. Larry was a Tennessee Squire with Jack Daniel’s and enjoyed visiting the distillery in Lynchburg TN. when his health allowed it. Larry was a wonderful husband; father and grandpa, always put his family first. He loved his toy fox terrier dogs, and was welcomed to heaven by Pepe I, Pepe II, Bambi, and his mother Irene, father Corbin, and brothers Gary and Jerry Winn, who all preceded him in death.

The family would like to thank the compassionate care givers, Gail and Chira of Jefferson Health Care for the way they helped Larry in his last days.

Donations to: KC Pet Project (http://kcpetproject.org// phone # 816-513-9821) instead of flowers would be appreciated, as Larry dearly loved animals and often brought  his wife strays home to love and care for as four legged babies.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
