Mike Hunt, 50, Lee’s Summit

Mike Hunt

Mike Hunt, 50, Lee’s Summit, died Feb. 9, 2010 at his home.

Mike was born Aug. 3, 1959 in Kansas City. He was a lifelong resident of Lee’s Summit. He was a 1977 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School and attended Longview College and Kansas State University.

Mike married Kim Keller in 1979 and they were married for 20 years before her passing. He loved to cook, draw, take care of his fish and he loved his work on the mission field in Mexico. Mike was a member of Birchwood Church, Independence.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kim Hunt; son, John Hunt; and his father Vaughn Hunt.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jaimee; Josh Kovar and his grandson Jonas Kovar; his mother Gwen Hunt; sister, Tammy Steiber; and brother, Ron Hunt.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Langsford Funeral Home. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee’s Summit.

Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
