Nadine Lewers Wheatley, 86, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Wednesday August 6th, 2014. Nadine was born to Guy and Bessie Lewers in Atlantic Virginia on January 22nd, 1928.
She graduated from Western High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and also from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. She Married Gerald Wheatley June 12th, 1954 and they enjoyed 60 years together. Nadine also worked as a school librarian in the churches that her husband Gerald pastored. Nadine enjoyed working with Pioneer Girls in churches and in disciplining Bible College girls. She faithfully followed Gerald in the pastorates that he served. Nadine enjoyed organizing open houses in the churches that they served.
Nadine is survived by her husband Gerald, daughters Laura Tubbesing of Lee's Summit, Gerry Harclrode of Cortez, Colorado, her sons Jonathan of Detroit Michigan, David of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada; Her 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Elowise Bowen of Baltimore, Maryland, and her Brother Eugene of Atlantic, Virginia.

Greeting of the family was at Langsford Funeral Home Friday August 8th from 7:30 - 8:30 pm, and a memorial service on Saturday August 9th at Summit Woods Baptist Church 2105 SE Shenandoah Drive in Lee's Summit at 11:00am.
