Jack William Colbern

Jack William Colbern, 83, loving father and devoted husband passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23.

Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 p.m., at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, on Tuesday, December 27.

Mrs. Wilma Jean Goddard, age 84, of Republic, Mo., died on Dec. 10, 2016 in Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehab, Springfield, Mo. 

She was born on Feb. 6, 1932 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Eula (Lawrence) Hughes.

James William Cooper

James William Cooper, 82, passed away November 28, 2016 at Lee’s Summit Hospital. Jim was born March 23, 1934 in Pleasant Hill, MO., son of Ira Cooper and Mary Ellen (Carroll) Cooper. Jim attended Pleasant Hill schools and served 4 years in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Dorothy (Clenton) Foote on May 27, 1955, she passed away in 2006. He was united in married to Zenaida (Cindy) on January 3, 2007.

Anna Scrivner Helmer

Anna Scrivner Helmer, 97, formerly of Eldon, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Village House, John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, MO. 

Anna was born on November 3, 1919 in Spring Garden, MO, to Abraham Francis and Zilpha Estella (Dooley) Scrivner. She graduated from Olean High School in 1937 and attended Central Missouri State Teacher’s College in Warrensburg, MO. Anna taught at Ginger Ridge School and Etterville School. She also worked for many years at the Eldon Library.

Tony Campbell

Tony Campbell, 59 years, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Research Medical Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Tony was born on June 17, 1957 to Stanley (Stan) Campbell and Elizabeth (Liz) Campbell in Kansas City, MO. In addition to his mother, Tony is survived by his beloved son, Jason Campbell; four brothers Nick (Pam) Campbell, Chris (Merry) Campbell, Greg (Ronna) Campbell, Mike Campbell; sister Suzy Cahill; three nieces, four nephews, one great-niece and two great-nephews.

Clifford James Maxwell 58, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on November 2, 2016, due to complications of diabetes. 

Visitation was held at Langsford Funeral Home on Monday, November 7 from 6-8pm. Service were held on Tuesday November 8, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home.

Ana Maria “Anita” Wernsman was born July 7, 1939 in Mexico City, Mexico. She passed away on November 1, 2016 on All Saints Day in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 6th from 2:30-4:30pm with a Rosary at 4:30pm at Langsford Funeral Home (115 SW 3rd St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063; 816-524-3700). 

Funeral services will be Monday, November 7th at 10am at Our Lady of Presentation church (130 NW Murray Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081)

Norman “Performin Norman” Mah

Norman “Performin Norman” Mah, 52, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed on October 26, 2016.
Norman will be forever remembered for his kindness. He was a beacon of light that drew people to him with his infectious smile. He was an avid fisherman and a diehard car enthusiast who loved spending time with his family, fishing fanatics and car buddies. He also loved spending time with his three dogs and running his insurance business.
