Paul David Walter, 56, formerly of Lee’s Summit passed away on Friday, August 9th, 2013, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Paul was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a graduate of Hickman Mills High School Class of ‘75 and received a Bachelors Degree in History from Park University in 2004. Paul was an accomplished musician and spent his life putting smiles on the faces of everyone he met with his drumming, angelic voice and his wonderful sense of humor.
Over the last 41 years of his life, Paul played with a number of bands including Ivan Fetch, Hearts of Fire, Franklin Mint, Bonsoir, Diane "Momma" Ray, Tim Witmer, and most notably,
The Lettermen, who recorded 26 records with Capital Records throughout the 60’s & 70’s and had numerous Billboard Top-Ten hits throughout that time.
He is survived by his Wife, Dr. Kaye Walter, North Haledon, NJ, Mother, Betty Walter, Overland Park, Brother, Craig Walter, Kansas City North, Father and Step-Mother, Joe & Rose Marie Walter, Lee’s Summit, Step-Brothers, Brian West, Lee’s Summit, MO, and David West, Overland Park, KS., Uncle & Aunt, Jack & Patty Goodman, Cousin, Dr. John P. Goodman, all of Kansas City, and relatives in Texas and Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, KS. A Reception will follow at the Church.
