Phil Silvain, 84, of Lake Lotawana, Mo passed away
February 17, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Services will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation preceding the services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12700 S. Raytown Road, KC, MO 64129.

Phil was born January 3, 1929 in KC, KS. He was a veteran and served in both the Navy and Air Force. Phil worked at Western Electric in Merriam, KS for 39 years.

He volunteered and was a member of many organizations including East Gate Masonic Lodge, Prairie Township Rescue Unit, Lake Lotawana Fire, VFW, Lake Lotawana Sportsman Club and the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Eunice Silvain, and sister Nadene Meador.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Norma, two daughters Rena Allin & husband Larry, Penny Ursino & husband Robert, five grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church or Lake Lotawana Memorial Rose Garden.
