Victor “Vic” E. Liddle, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri. passed away Monday January 16, 2012 at Centerpoint Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday January 20, 2012 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, Missouri.

Vic was born March 13, 1920, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Walter and Victoria (Reynolds) Liddle. He was a member of Blue Ridge Boulevard Christian Church in Independence, Missouri, VFW Post 1000, the American Legion Post #499 and the GM retirees club. Vic also enjoyed coaching and was a past VP for 3 and 2 baseball. Vic was a proud veteran of our country serving in the Army during WWII.
Before his retirement in 1974 he was a supervisor at the General Motors Fairfax Plant. After retirement he worked with his brother Dody at Liddle’s Sports Shop in Blue Springs, Missouri for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Alice Liddle of the home, daughter, Janet Meyers and husband Joe of Blue Springs, sons, Kirk Liddle and wife Michelle of Grain Valley, Missouri, Larry Liddle and wife Mary of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and sister Agnes Davis, of Kearney, Missouri. Vic also leaves his beloved grandchildren Eric, Brad, Chad, Kristin, Casey, Kara and Drew and great-grandchildren Ally, Chase, Lauren, Jake, and Ty.
