Virginia L. Graf
Virginia L. Graf, 92, Lee’s Summit, died Nov. 8, 2010 at Lee’s Summit Hospital following complications from surgery. Virginia was born Nov. 6, 1918 in Gilman City to Lonnie and Mabel (McClary) Forth. For most of her life, she was a resident of the Kansas City area. She was united in marriage to Rodney L. Graf Sept. 7, 1941. Virginia was a bronze life master bridge player and a member of the ACBL. She was a great cook and a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Rodney L. Graf; and her son, Dr. Thomas M. Graf. Survivors include her twin children, Gloria Graf, Kirkwood, and John Graf, Springfield; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 10, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. A chapel service will be at 11 a.m., Nov.11, at John Knox Village Chapel, 400 N.W. Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, with graveside services to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
