WILMA M. MALLICOAT

Wilma M. Mallicoat, 81, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Wilshire at Lakewood. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Langsford Funeral Home with the visitation prior from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial in Lone Jack Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit.

Wilma was born on Nov. 6, 1929, in Lone Jack, MO, to Elmer and Pearl Faulkenberry. She is a graduate of CMSU with a Master in Library Science. Wilma worked for 20 years for the Belton School District as an Elementary Librarian. She was an avid genealogist and writer, writing several genealogy books. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit for 53 years.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister Wanda Cassidy. Survivors include her husband of 59 years Boots Mallicoat, her two sons David Mallicoat and his wife Linda, Kelly Mallicoat and his wife Gayle and four grandchildren Aaron Mallicoat, Rachel Morris and her husband Brian, Adam Mallicoat and Garrett Mallicoat.
