WILMA P. DELEERSNYDER

Wilma P. DeLeersnyder was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Desloge, Mo., and passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in the Lee's Summit Medical Center at the age of 85.

On Sept. 25, 1948, Wilma married Joseph DeLeersnyder at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Kansas City, Mo. They later made their home in Lee's Summit since 1956 up the present. They were parishioners of Our Lady of Presentation in Lee's Summit where she volunteered. She also volunteered at Lee's Summit Medical Center.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeLeersnyder; a brother, Robert Riley; and her parents. She is survived by her son, David DeLeersnyder of Kansas City; two daughters, Joyce Rasmussen and her husband Rick of Warsaw, Mo., and Karen DeLeersnyder and her significant other Joe Kilmer of Grandview, Mo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 12, in Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church. There will be a visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at the Langsford Funeral Home with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial will follow the Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City. Memorials can be made in the name of Wilma to the donor's choice.
