$15,500,000.00!! Some people might say I can’t imagine having $15,500,000.

June 15, 2012

Dear Editor,

$15,500,000.00!! Some people might say I can’t imagine having $15,500,000. How far will $15.5M go?

Well if you rebuilt the New City Hall and improve the downtown, you would have spent about $15.5 million.

If we had $15.5M today we could set aside the Rock Island Railroad right-of-way for the rail and the Katy Trail.

Somewhere along the way, I feel that Lee’s Summit received a lot of bad legal advice.

Maybe we should sue the law firm that gave them that bad advice.

A few bad apples sure cost the city a lot of money. It would be interesting to get to the bottom of that BAD advice.

I believe this city needs a full-time performance auditor!
