Members of Boy Scout Troop 220 gathered in December to construct 20 birdhouses to assist Joplin, Missouri in bringing the birds back to Joplin after the devastation caused by the tornado in May 2011.
Brandon Lane took on the building of the birdhouses as his Eagle project. He answered the call of the Lee’s Summit Beautification Commission to help Joplin by building bird houses during their Trees for Joplin project last October.
He assembled several members of his troop at his house to complete the birdhouses, which he and his family will deliver to Joplin themselves.
