Troop 1134 Update from the Boy Scout National Jamboree

Troop 1134 Update from the Boy Scout National Jamboree

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 7:06 PM

Lots to talk about just not enough time.  Sunday there was a strong storm in Washington while visiting Mount Vernon.  We waited out the storm in the visitors center.  The 4-H center lost power and was still out when we left
Monday morning at 11:30.  All is well except out electrical gear we planned to charge overnight.

Checked in Monday, Tuesday was the first day of activity.  The boys left camp and most did not return until dinner, just like we planned.  Patch trading is a new activity our scouts are quickly learning.

This morning was the first arena show.  Robert Gates, Army paratroopers, and Miss America were among those who entertained us.  See the attached photo.  This is only the central region, too big to show every one.

HOAC Troop 1134 Scoutmaster
