Troop 1262 Honors Eagle Scout Jordan Eulinger

June 9, 2012

On Sunday, June 3, 2012, Troop 1262 in Lees Summit, Missouri held an Eagle Court of Honor to recognize Jordan Eulinger

Jordan T. Eulinger, 18, was born the evening of May 19, 1994 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents are Wendy and Patrick Eulinger.

Always a student in the Lees Summit school district, Jordan started at Cedar Creek Elementary for kindergarten. His family moved to Greenwood for his 1st grade year where they currently reside. Jordan completed his elementary education at Greenwood Elementary. His secondary education was spent at Summit Lakes Middle School and Lees Summit West High School. Jordan grew up interested in a variety of activities including soccer, football, baseball, wrestling, trapshooting, and lacrosse. He achieved varsity lettering in 3 out of his 4 years in high school in trapshooting, and both years he played lacrosse. Jordan has also volunteered as a dog socializer for Wayside Waifs. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

In 2000, Jordan became a Tiger Cub in Pack 4262 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. His journey in Scouts continued through Webelos wherein he attended 2 years at camp Naish. He achieved his Arrow of Light in 2005 before crossing over into Troop 1262. Upon crossing over, Jordan became an active member in the troop. He held leadership positions of patrol leader, and assistant patrol leader. Jordan attended Camp Bartle for 6 years where he became Firebuilder Little Crafter of Mighty Oak in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Jordan also obtained his Brotherhood in Order of the Arrow at Camp Naish. Jordan has earned over 25 merit badges as well as his World Conservation Award.

Jordan’s Eagle service project reflected his love of the outdoors. He and members of the troop constructed 25 blue bird houses for the Missouri Department of Conservation at James A. Reed. The bird houses will be used throughout Missouri Conservation areas to house our Missouri state bird. Jordan earned the rank of Eagle Scout in May 2012.

Jordan’s plans for the future include utilizing his A+ earnings towards his education at Longview Community College. After which he plans on attending either Missouri State or Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Wildlife Conservation. He also plans on interning for the Missouri Department of Conservation and to continue playing lacrosse while pursuing his degree.
