Off-duty Lee’s Summit firefighters will once again be on the corner of 3rd and Douglas from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 through Saturday, Dec. 21 for the annual LSFD Boot Block to raise money for Lee’s Summit Social Services.

The Needy Family Fund Boot Block is a Lee’s Summit fundraising tradition dating back more than 30 years. Recent years have seen money raised reaching over $30,000 during this three-day event.
