Karen Houck started Alyssa’s Wishes in memory of her daughter.

She built the Ladybug Library in her front yard. Mark Martin, Manager at the Gardens at Unity Village recently delivered several boxes of books to her from the Garden Volunteers. They wanted to supply Karen with books for her library. You can get free books or donate books at 2108 Concord Street in Lee’s Summit.

Karen also holds rock painting events for local groups. They paint sayings of kind and encouraging words on the rocks which are distributed locally and also world wide to spread goodwill. Rock painting events are posted on Alyssaswishes.org or on her Facebook page.
