Eastwood Hills Elementary fourth grade teacher Amber Nieznajko was selected as a 2021 Blue KC Sporting Samaritan. The program highlights students and teachers who make the Kansas City community a better place to live, work and play.

Nieznajko was selected for her dedication to the Eastwood Hills Elementary community and the students and families it serves. She is a teacher leader, data review team leader, chair of the courtyard beautification committee, and head coach of a social-emotional running club for boys at Eastwood Hills. As part of her work on the beautification committee, she implemented a schoolyard garden and monarch butterfly waystation for students to have a space to learn and grow. Nieznajko is also a member of the PTA Council at Eastwood Hills.
