Jacqueline McEntire Clark, a member of the LSR7 Board of Education, received both Missouri School Boards Association’s (MSBA) Distinguished and Master Certification recognition at the 2019 MSBA Leadership Summit on June 8. The MSBA program recognizes school board members who choose to complete additional professional development requirements beyond the 16 hours required under the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993. To achieve Distinguished Certification, board members must earn at least 60 training credits, attend at least two MSBA regional or statewide events and complete other requirements related to board service.

Of more than 3,600 board of education directors across Missouri, Mrs. Clark is among 22 school board directors statewide who have earned the Distinguished Certification. Distinguished Certification is MSBA’s highest level of school board certification.

“The LSR7 school district is exceptional among the 500-plus Missouri school districts, and it was my goal to ensure that my service to the district is marked by exceptional leadership and learning. The Distinguished certification is the highest level achievement I could meet to honor our students and teachers for the leading and learning they do in our schools,” Clark said.

“The Missouri School Board Association is an incredibly valuable resource for our district, and it has been the source of my growth and effective engagement as a board member these past two years. It is hard to believe that I’ve earned the Advanced, Master and Distinguished certifications in less than two years’ time,” she added.

“Mrs. Clark’s commitment to the learning associated with effective Board of Education governance is second to none and her receipt of this distinguished designation reflects such a commitment. Our students benefit from this level of dedication to effective Board service,” Superintendent Dr. Dennis Carpenter said.
