WHAT:The Chiefs and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City announced a partnership on Friday to offer FLAG Football throughout the greater Kansas City area. Participants in the YMCA FLAG Football program, now sponsored by the Chiefs, will receive exclusive Chiefs jerseys, footballs and FLAG equipment, as well as access to Chiefs football camps, special events for families, and appearances by KC Wolf and Chiefs Cheerleaders.
The first of these events will take place Saturday. The Chiefs Community Caring Team, led by Chiefs K Harrison Butker, Chiefs Cheerleaders and KC Wolf, will be on hand for the Kansas City YMCA FLAG Football kickoff at the Challenger Sports Complex.

WHY: The Chiefs involvement in FLAG Football is a key tenet of Chiefs Kingdom Kids, the Chiefs new youth-focused programming. Chiefs Kingdom Kids aims to provide unique experiences both at Arrowhead and around Kansas City – including movie nights, the Legends Youth Football Camp, Jr. Chiefs Cheer Camps and more.
The Chiefs have a long history of supporting youth football within our community. Throughout the years, the Chiefs have hosted youth football events geared to educate parents and coaches and prepare youth athletes for the next level of play. The Hunt Family has made corporate citizenship and charitable giving a priority for the entire organization. Those efforts focus on programs which improve the civic climate in our region, support families and children in crisis, improve health and wellness among children, as well as preserve the legacy and history of the game of football and the National Football League.
One way the organization supports these efforts is through Chiefs Community Caring Team visits. The Chiefs Community Caring Team, led by the entire Hunt Family, includes members from the Chiefs organization who participate in community outreach efforts throughout the year. It consists not only of Chiefs players and position groups but also the Chiefs Rookie Club, Chiefs Women’s Organization, KC Wolf, Chiefs Cheerleaders, Chiefs Ambassadors, other alumni, Chiefs Red Coaters and all Chiefs staff members.
