Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to the City of Raytown, Missouri, for its Annual Budget for the fiscal year, which runs Nov.1, 2022, through Oct. 31, 2023. To receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as a financial plan, as an operations guide, and as a communications device.
According to a press release from GFOA, “Award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and provide an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.”
The City of Raytown received this award in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2019, 2020 and 2022. There are more than 1,700 participants in the Budget Awards Program.
