City crews are scheduled to plow and treat streets throughout the weekend and into early next week as several rounds of snow, freezing drizzle, and more snow move through the area. Crews are scheduled on 12-hour rotating shifts from Fri., Feb. 15, through Mon., Feb. 18.

Periods of heavy snow are expected throughout the day Friday, followed by freezing drizzle, and streets are expected to be slick. Depending on total snow accumulations, it may take crews from 32.5 to 40 hours after accumulation ends to plow and treat the more than 1,000 lane miles in the city. Snow may continue to be packed to streets even after they have been plowed and treated.

More snow is expected Saturday, meaning crews may have to be diverted to re-plow primary and secondary streets depending on the timing of the snow. After the second snow accumulation, it may take crews an additional 32.5 to 40 hours to plow and treat all streets again.

The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.
