Central Methodist University celebrated its Winter 2024 commencement on December 7 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette campus. Former board of trustees member James Kimbell gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff, and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the master’s, bachelor’s, and associate’s levels.

The following local students were among the graduates on the program for the event: Grace Elizabeth Wilkinson, Lone Jack – Bachelor of Science in Nursing and La’Kiah Layce Wilson, Lee’s Summit – Bachelor of Science.

Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, Mo., and through extension sites and online.
