As part of the Hope and Healing series of mental health presentations, Dr. Dennis Karpowitz and his wife Diane will offer a free parenting seminar on Friday, September 28 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 850 SE Church Rd. in Lee’s Summit at 7:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Dr. Karpowitz is an emeritus professor of psychology at the University of Kansas with a small clinical practice.

His research and teaching interests are in behavioral psychology, particularly in children. His wife Diane was a teacher.

Together they are the proud parents of six children and many grandchildren.

Both Dennis and Diane have served extensively in the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and are currently presiding over the Kansas City Temple.
