Dear Editor,

I was so encouraged to read about Rachl Aguirre’s Missouri Senate candidacy in the April 22 edition of the Tribune. Thank you for featuring her candidacy on the front page. It’s time to send well qualified citizen-statesmen to Jefferson City and represent the interests of their friends and neighbors.

We have seen the “good ol’ boy” networks of long-term politicians in city, county, state and federal government and we need fresh voices with a consostent history of conservatism.

I was particularly impressed with Ms. Aguirre’s commitment to Missouri’s parents and children. Missouri needs a “mama bear” who stands watch over every piece of proposed legislation to ensure the rights of parents and children are protected from the ever-increasing liberal encroachment.
