Dear Lee’s Summit Tribune,

I am pleased to announce my full support for the re-election of incumbent District 4 Councilmember Fred DeMoro to the Lee’s Summit City Council in the June 2nd election. I passionately believe Councilmember DeMoro is the absolute right person to continue his outstanding and thoughtful leadership for the City of Lee’s Summit.

I am a 35-year resident of our City and during those years I have known Councilmember DeMoro and his service to our city. I have worked with him on city matters as a former Lee’s Summit City Councilmember and find him to be one of the most dedicated individuals I know. He has tirelessly and unselfishly served our community out of his passion for improving the lives and government of our city.

He has served on a variety of City boards and commissions including the City Planning and Charter Review Commission and has help guide economic development and improved our all-important tax base with new businesses. He has always been responsive to our residents on important issues in our city and neighborhoods, no matter their position or economic status. And he is consistently prompt, thorough and quick to find solutions and act!

As former Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Lee’s Summit, I know firsthand what it takes to run our city. Councilmember DeMoro has demonstrated his knowledge of the details and the complexity of issues that face city government daily. And, time and again showed his ability to provide leadership and direction to staff and the City Council. He serves as Vice Chair of the all-important Community Economic Development Committee, and is a member of the Public Works, Rules and Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs Committees. Each committee being a key to making our City run efficiently and effectively.

There are many challenges facing Lee’s Summit and Councilmember DeMoro is always knowledgeable on how to move forward with development and services needed to support the growth and enhancement of the quality of life in Lee’s Summit.

He is a strong supporter of maintaining the safety and security of our residents as his priority. His advocacy of public safety is most commendable and has resulted in Lee’s Summit retaining and recruiting the highest quality and respected firefighters and police professionals.

The City of Lee’s Summit expects and deserves solid leadership, commitment to our community and the best qualified representation for the next four years. I believe Councilmember Fred DeMoro is that person.

Fred has never let me down and will not ever let down the voters who support him! Our City deserves the absolute best…. District 4 Councilmember Fred DeMoro!
