Smoke Brewing Company is transforming into all things Grinchy this holiday season.

And just a few doors down, sister restaurant Calaveras will be filled with everything the Grinch would absolutely hate.

For the second year in a row, Mexican restaurant Calaveras (217 SE Main Street, Lee’s Summit) will transform into a winter wonderland of Christmas as owners Josh, Lanni and Jeff Edwards roll out Snowglobe – an over-the-top Christmas pop-up bar in Downtown Lee’s Summit. Diners at Snowglobe will be immersed with everything Christmas, from the bar area and all the way down to the seating.

“Snowglobe is again fantastically over the top,” owner Josh Edwards said. “We had such a good time last year, we had to bring it back bigger and better.”

As a balance to the Christmas joy, fans of the Christmas antagonist whose hearts have grown three sizes too small will enjoy the Grinch takeover at neighboring Smoke Brewing Company (209 SE Main Street).

The Snowglobe holiday drink menu will include a White Christmas Margarita, the Snow Globe Sangria and Rudolph’s Rum Punch. The Grincy crowd will enjoy drinks like the Cindy Lou Who, Max’s Yellow Snow and Martha Mae’s Crush Martini. Special menus at Smoke Brewing Company and Calaveras will be available. A weekend brunch menu will also be served at Smoke.

“The Grinch on one side and a wholesome Christmas experience on the other. What could go wrong?” owner Lanni Edwards said. “If you’ve had a little too much family this holiday season, we welcome you to either pop-up experience.”

Snowglobe and the Grinch pop-up are open now through New Year’s Eve, with the exceptions of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
