It has been an absolute pleasure meeting with Lee’s Summit residents and organizations during this campaign to learn more about their vision for our community and to share my plans for how I intend to represent them and lead on the LSR7 school board.
Due to my final obligations to the U.S. Marine Corps before my retirement in April, after 20 years of service, I was not able to meet the scheduling requirements to interview with Foundations for our Future this month.
Apparently they had a tight window to interview all of the candidates running and were not able to accommodate my Marine obligations with a night which would work for us both, after conversing back and forth with my campaign the past two weeks.
I’m a person who believes in finishing what I started with the same passion the last day as the first day. My final days of service to my country as a U.S. Marine deserves this same commitment.
The work Foundations does to keep residents informed about emerging leaders running for public office is commendable. I look forward to continuing to meet with as many members of the Lee’s Summit community as possible to share my message of transparency, accountability, and civility before the April 7th election. We are truly better together as a community. See you in the neighborhood! Vote April 7th!
Yours in Service,
Megan Marshall
LSR7 School Board Candidate
