The next membership meeting at the History Museum is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.

The guest speaker, Donna Madison, will portray Cathay Williams who served with the Buffalo Soldiers during the Civil War. Donna Madison is a certified oral and written storyteller.

The museum is located at 220 SW Main Street in downtown Lee’s Summit. Visitors are welcome to attend. Regular museum hours are Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members and children 12 and under are free to tour the museum. An admission charge of $5 for all others.
