It is the season to acknowledge hard work and persistence. Each high school hosts an awards night to celebrate students’ accomplishments and to present numerous scholarships and awards.

A new scholarship, The William Hart Frederick “From the Heart” Scholarship was presented this year. This scholarship was established by family and friends to honor the memory of Bill Frederick. Bill was an avid supporter of education and served as a Raytown Educational Foundation trustee for 20 years. Bill had both a passion and, as his middle name indicated, a true heart for helping students.
