One of the recent additions to the Kansas City Mavericks hockey team is expected to make use of his goal scoring abilities to help the team reach the ECHL playoffs. Forward CJ Eick is well known in the ECHL having played for Utah the past two seasons. The Mavericks completed a trade for the 26 year old in Mid-February.

Eicker as his new teammates call him began his pro hockey career with Utah at the end of 2015-16 season. Eick remained there for the entire 2016-17 season.

CJ’s favorite pro sports team is the NFL’s Green Bay Packers. This is due to his hometown being in Wisconsin. Eicker’s mom and dad still root him on from their home in Appleton, Wisconsin. CJ’s proudest hockey memory so far was winning the USHL’s Clark Cup back in 2012 while a member of the Green Bay Ramblers.

Eicker first put on a pair of skates at the age of 4. If not in pro hockey today CJ would be pursuing his music interests. His main music interest is playing the guitar. Eicker’s favorite sports movie is Glory Road.

While on the Mavs team bus CJ tries to read or listen to music. Following his playing days Eicker wishes to be remembered as a good teammate. CJ’s favorite part of KC area so far is the Plaza area.

Check out this talented new forward and the rest of the Mavericks when they host the Quad City Mallards on Sunday, March 18. The fun begins inside the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena when the puck drops at 4:05 p.m.
