Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that seventeen of their 7th grade students qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) this year.

SCA seventh graders (l-r) Olivia Truesdale and Shea Rider qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program

Academically talented 7th grade students can qualify by scoring at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level standardized test, and are invited to participate in TIP’s 7th Grade Talent Search by taking the ACT or SAT alongside college-bound eleventh and twelfth grade students.

Four SCA 7th grade students participated in the ACT, with two achieving state recognition (earning scores that are approximately equal to the 50th national percentile rank for college-bound seniors). These student scholars are Olivia Truesdale and Shea Rider.
