On April 5, 2018 Hope House held its Everyday Hero Luncheon at the Hilton President Hotel in Kansas City to honor all of its volunteers for their time and commitment to the mission of Hope House.

On hand were Keynote Speaker, Dayton Moore, General Manager of the Kansas City Royals; Master of Ceremonies, Meteorologist Karli Ritter; and Honorary Chair, Mike Talboy of Burns & McDonnell.

Awards for Exemplary Volunteerism were presented to Carly Johnson, f’real foods, Jason Goertzen, Kerry Holton, Stacey King, Synchrony and Unity.

Other awards included: Bright Light in the Community, Jacqueline K. Clark; Young Philanthropist, Lee’s Summit West High School; Volunteer of the Year, Wendy Carpenter; Rainmaker of Impact, Terry Berkbuegler; Spirit of Community, Kris Moore; Champion of Collaboration, Hair for Hope House Crew; Impact of Change, Detective Erika Albin; and Visionary of the Year, Not Done Yet Softball Team.
