Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that four secondary students have been selected to receive Awards from Kansas City (KC) Scholars.

Founded by the Kauffman Foundation in 2017, KC Scholars is a competitive award program for students in the six-county Kansas City metropolitan area. Applicants are judged by criteria including motivation to go to college, preparedness for college, likelihood to complete college, essays, and grade point average.

SCA juniors Blake Roudebush and Natalie Maruschak received the recognition of Traditional Awardees, meaning they may receive up to $50,000 over 5 years at one of 17 colleges or universities in the KC Scholars Post-secondary network.

SCA freshmen Mackenzie Madsen and Aidan Lahey received the recognition of College Savings Seeded Awardees, meaning KC Scholars opened a 529 college savings account and provided seed money of $50.
