VFW and American Legion – May 28
Lee’s Summit VFW Post 5789 and the American Legion Post will have their annual Memorial Day service to honor military veterans at the World War II Memorial in the Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery on Monday, May 28 at 8:00 a.m. LS Historical Cemetery is located at 806 SE 3rd St, Lee’s Summit.

Longview Cemetery-May 28
This Monday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. Longview Cemetery, located at 12700 S. Raytown Rd in Kansas City, will host their annual Memorial Day Service. The program will include remarks by General Manager Melissa Beall; Pastor Michael Nelson with Grandview First Baptist Church; Russell Scott – eteran; and vocals by Ebony Shaffer; members of the Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard will present colors and render honors. After the service, refreshments will be provided to all those who attend the service.
