The Kansas City Chapter was formed in June of 1882 by Mr. E. G. Taylor, Law 1879. The chapter represents all MU alumni members in the five county Kansas City metropolitan area (Clay, Jackson, and Platte in Missouri; Johnson and Wyandotte in Kansas). Today, there are more than 4,100 members, which is approximately 20 percent of the alumni in the KC area.

The Greater Kansas City Mizzou Alumni Association chapter hosts two major fundraising events annually to fund student scholarships. The chapter’s “Friends of Mizzou Tiger Tailgate & Auction” will be Saturday, Aug. 4 beginning a 5:30 p.m. at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Online registration is available at: www.mizzou.com/KCtailgate2018.

The “Black and Gold Tiger Ball,” a creative black tie gala will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Kansas City on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Event details will be available soon.
“We encourage Mizzou alumni, family and friends to attend these area events so we can continue to raise funds to send metro students to Mizzou,” Clark added.

The Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA) has more than 40,000 members worldwide. It supports the best interests and traditions of Missouri’s flagship university by providing members the opportunity to develop a lifelong relationship with Mizzou.
