The Lee’s Summit Fire Departments would like to congratulate Specialist Terry Drehle on his retirement after 45 years of dedicated service to the citizens of the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

As Specialist Drehle begins his final shift rotation with LSFD, he will come to the Station 5 and check out the equipment and respond to calls with a majority of coworkers that weren’t even born when he started with the Department on January 3rd, 1973. In addition to being one of the longest tenured employees with the City of Lee’s Summit, Specialist

Drehle also has the distinction of being one of the longest Missouri licensed paramedics still actively responding to calls and providing patient care.

Over the next couple of shifts there will be numerous stories told of a long successful career, and Specialist Drehle will likely take the opportunity to impart his institutional knowledge one last time on his junior coworkers- smiling and shaking his head.

Specialist Drehle has served the citizens of Lee’s Summit with PRIDE! Please join the members of the Lee’s Summit Fire Department in thanking Terry for his many years of service and wishing him a happy retirement.
