Lone Jack Heritage Day is Saturday, August 18 at Battlefield Park located 10 minutes east of Lee’s Summit off of Hwy. 50.

The museum will be open and admission is free. Donations are encouraged to benefit the Historical Preservation.

Activities begin at 7:30 a.m. with a Boy Scout pancake breakfast at the Baptist Church with the Heritage Day festivities kicking off at 8:00 with a flag raising on the museum plaza.

Throughout the day visitors can enjoy craft and community booths, Historical Society raffles, police department Kid ID, Sisters of Hope UMC games, crafts, conversation and cooling station, fine forgiveness from the Mid-Continent Public Library Lone Jack branch, Civic Club, Veterans Tiny Homes Community Project, Lone Jack Christian Church Food Pantry, and Mennonite jams and pickles.

A community picnic will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon followed by music by local musicians.

The event is sponsored by the Lone Jack Historical Society.
