Pine Tree Plaza on Blue Parkway is remodeling; and Monica’s School of Dance has been open through this entire construction project. Gone is the “mock” Spanish motif and all the red tile roofs that have graced motorists on 50 Highway for more than 25 years. The whole shopping center is being replaced with a beautiful, contemporary facelift.

Monica’s School of Dance has endured this difficult period of transition. They have also used this time to spruce up their interior as well, giving their students the opportunity to enjoy the new look while embracing a 35-year-old tradition of “Teaching Excellence.”

Construction started back in November and, like all construction projects, it has been a long one. However, the fruits of their endeavors are starting to blossom as the new contemporary structure is emerging from the dirt and the rubble. Monica Renwick, owner and director of Monica’s School of Dance says, “I have been a tenant at Pine Tree Plaza for over 25 years, and I am excited to be a part of this beautiful new upgrade.”

Contractors are working steadily to finish up this project and Monica’s School of Dance is working to finish their upgrades for their “Fall Enrollment,” which happens every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in August. You can reach Monica’s School of Dance at (816) 246-6776 or visit their location at 332 SW Blue Pkwy.
