On August 11, 2018 Fun House Pizza Dine in and Delivery in Lee’s Summit hosted a Crushing for a Cause fundraiser for Answering the Call.

A fun day of car crushing and bashing was had by all. Lee’s Summit Mayor Bill Baird, Municipal Judge Dana McFarland Altieri and officer Josh Ward took turns in the dunk tank for the cause.

The group posted on their Facebook, “The final numbers are not in, but it already looks like it was an extremely successful day on the fundraising side. As equally important, we have gained a lot of new followers who believe in and support our mission.”

“It truly wouldn’t have been a success without officers Jennifer and John Kudzinski’s hard work!”

Answering the Call was founded in 2015 to support all First Responders in a time of need. This 501 (c) (3) was established to link the community support to local first responders during a difficult time. Answering the Call is a source of not only financial aid but a community awareness to support first responders and their families. Is was founded by an officer of the Lee’s Summit Police Department.
