Shaun Pfannenstiel and Judy Schmidt

2018 marks the 21st year at SCA for Schmidt. She was hired as the first math teacher and since then she has taught secondary math classes and junior high choir, as well as elementary music, reading, and spelling. In 2012, she became the junior high academic advisor and math teacher.

“I believe God is going to use the unique gifts, talents and experiences He has given Shaun and myself to make a great advising team. We look forward to helping SCA students achieve their God-given potential and step into the awesome future He has in store for them,” shared Schmidt.

Pfannenstiel comes to SCA with over 13 years in higher education. Most recently, Pfannenstiel was the Senior Academic Advisor and Athletic Coordinator at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at UMKC for over four years. He also has experience as an Admissions Counselor at Park University and the Metropolitan Community Colleges.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the SCA family and I look forward to helping students navigate through the vast universe of colleges and universities,” said Pfannenstiel. “The biggest blessing of working in the field of education is the communication I have with students and their parents. My prayer is that I can build strong bridges to the best colleges and universities around the country. Whether I’m advising an SCA student on classes or helping them apply to their dream college, I am here to serve.”
