Blue Springs at Lee’s Summit West (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
A true game of the week here with plenty of incentives on the line for both teams. Blue Springs has been perfect since their setback in OT to Lee’s Summit North. The Titans at home provide a test to anyone who enters the field. Playoff positioning & Suburban Gold division showdown here that will end with the Titans narrowly on top.
Lee’s Summit at Liberty North (Pub Pick of the week)
A big game here between two Suburban Red division members. Both teams are ready to return to the win column after losing games last week. The Tigers were routed by rival LS North while Liberty North lost a close one to Blue Springs. After an entertaining 4 quarters of football it will be the Eagles celebrating a close win.
Lee’s Summit North at Ray Pec
The LS North Broncos have been on quite a roll the past month but now travels to play a hungry Panther squad in Ray-Pec. The visiting Broncos are looking to close the regular season on a high note and they will get their wish on this night with a road win over the Panthers.
St. Michael at Center
After a 3 game winning streak the Guardians suffered a home defeat last week. Now it’s a road trip to South Kansas City to face a hot group of Yellowjackets in Center HS. 5 times Center has scored 36 or more points in a game on the way to a 6-1 mark. St. Michael will find out just how hot Center is in a road loss this week.
Summit Christian Academy at Pembroke Hill
A below the radar game here that is very much worth watching. The SCA Eagles come in at 6-1 after a home coming win a week ago. The Raiders of Pembroke Hill is even better at 7-0. The Eagles are feeling good right now being in the lead of the Crossroads Conference but at the end of this one they will be feeling a bit blue thanks to a Raiders win.
Belton at Raytown (Wild Card game of the week)
Raytown Blue Jays have been singing a winning tune lately and the KC Chiefs noticed as they honored Raytown Coach Logan Minnick as Missouri Coach of the week. The Blue Jays high powered offense has scored more than 40 points in 4 straight games. The visiting Pirates won’t be able to keep up in this one as the Blue Jays win again.
Nebraska-Kearney at Northwest Mo. State (MIAA TV Game of the week)
The TV game of the week pits two of the hottest teams in the MIAA Conference as 4-2 Kearney visits the 5-1 Bearcats. Northwest enters this game off from a BIG win over rival Pitt State 31-7 a week ago. The Bearcats are at home and playing well at the moment and that will lead to another win this week.
Kansas City Chiefs a New England Patriots (Celebrity Forecaster, Bob Rennison)
The Chiefs defense is far from the best in the NFL but they get the job done when it counts. The Patriots have a perfect home record, but the Chiefs already won in one of the most difficult places to claim a win in the NFL… Denver. I believe the Chiefs will defeat New England 38-31.
