Jeffrey S. Rozier, age 48, of Lee’s Summit, passed away on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He fought a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Jeff was born in Sedalia, Missouri to Walter (Butch) and Pam Rozier and moved to Lee’s Summit at the age of six. He continued to make Lee’s Summit his home and established strong roots in the community, including his classmates of LSHS 1988, neighbors, and connections through the family business. He graduated from University of Missouri – Columbia with his Bachelor Degree and was a member of MU Alumni Association.
After graduation, he joined his father in the family business, Rozier Electric, Inc. He was Vice President of the business and successfully ran the business after his dad’s passing in 2013.
Jeff was a bright light in the hearts of everyone that he met. He centered his life around the Lord and used his special gifts to bring happiness, love, and laughter to many people’s lives. He was known for his positive outlook on all things, his good natured soul, and his unforgettable smile that could brighten any room. He beautifully mastered the way of loving everyone just as they are and learned to find joy in all things. He served his church, his family, his friends, and his business with an uncanny gift of genuine love and with best interest of others in mind. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed a lifetime of making many family memories.
Throughout his life, Jeff made countless best friends with whom he shared many adventures. He never met a stranger and would always ensure that those around him felt valued. He was a sports fanatic and could recite and banter about all things sports related. He enjoyed traveling, playing a variety of sports, and was a Blue Darter Award Recipient.
He loved his Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and MIZZOU football. He had a great sense of humor and you knew that your life was brighter by knowing him. Words will never be enough to express how loved he was and how much he will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father (Walter “Butch” Rozier), his grandparents (Hugh & Vera Jones and Walter Sr. & Evelyn Rozier) and other dear family members. Jeff is survived by his mother, Pamela Rozier; his sister, Kristin Rozier (Robert Greer); his dear furry companion, Buddy; and many other close relatives from his extended family and countless friends. Visitation is being held on Sunday, November 4th at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit on Monday, November 5th at 1:00 pm with a dessert reception afterwards.
