Rockhurst at Lee’s Summit North (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
The visiting Rockhurst Hawklets have scored 45, 41 and 38 points on their last three games all wins. Rockhurst has been busy lately beating Lee’s Summit and last week LS West. The LS North Broncos continue to surprise many and last week’s home playoff win 42-7 over Liberty was another one. When this close and entertaining contest ends the more experienced Hawklets will advance on in state playoffs.
Blue Springs at Columbia Rock Bridge
The Blue Springs Wildcats are flying high after beating their rival Blue Springs South last week 31-21. The Rock Bridge Bruins have enjoyed the big games against traditional powers so far this year winning them all including a week one win over Rockhurst. The Bruins are at home and will win a close one this week.
Holden at Summit Christian Academy (Pub Pick of the week)
The home field at SCA has been very kind to the high flying Eagles this season and looks to keep that going for at least one more night. Holden has also put up some big numbers as they advance in the playoffs. Summit Christian has been scoring in many different ways and will do so again on this Friday night to win again.
Belton at Fort Osage (Wild Card game of the week)
The Belton Pirates are a team no one saw playing in this game as they stand at 4-7 after upsetting Raytown a week ago. Fort Osage had a bye week in the playoff opening round, then pelted Chrisman last week 45-14. The Indians are rested and will send the Pirates home for the season in this one.
Pitt State at Mo. Southern (MIAA TV game of the week)
These two schools only 30 minutes apart have quite a rivalry history within the MIAA conference. The Gorillas are playing for a playoff spot next week while the Lions are just wrapping up the season. This will show up on the field Saturday as the Gorillas claim an easy road win.
Evangel at Baker (HAAC Game of the week)
A great match up to end the conference regular season pitting two ranked teams against each other fighting for Playoff positioning. Evangel is #9 while host Baker Wildcats are #14. This one will be a close one but in the end home field matters as the Wildcats score a big win here.
Vanderbilt at Mizzou (SEC-TV Network game)
Both teams enter the game at 1-4 in the SEC East division. The Tigers come home after a huge upset over Florida a week ago. Mizzou is getting healthy at the right time and it will show in this one as the Tigers score a home win on a Saturday afternoon.
Arizona Cardinals at KC Chiefs (Celebrity Forecaster, LS Mayor Bill Baird)
My beloved hometown KC Chiefs play my third favorite team, the Arizona Cardinals. I am confident the Cards offensive struggles will not keep up with the Chiefs high powered offense, one of the best I have ever seen. Chiefs-45, Cardinals-24.
