All season long NFL followers and many Kansas City Chiefs fans said just wait till December when the Chiefs have three out of their last four regular season games at home. If the Chiefs can get there in decent shape then a finishing on a high note could easily be expected. The 2018 season has seen the Chiefs make it to this point in more than just decent shape but in excellent shape.

Heading into this week 14 match up with fellow AFC member Baltimore Ravens the Chiefs are 10-2 good enough for the best record in the AFC. While the Chiefs may not need the final kick to the season people had predicted for them the team cannot rest on their achievements so far. Just a game behind them in the AFC standings at 9-3 are New England, LA Chargers and the Houston Texans.

The Ravens head to Kansas City with a quarterback that is making headlines much like Mahomes is here with the Chiefs. Ravens franchise QB Joe Flacco has been bothered by injuries and a round of ineffectiveness so far this year. This has led to Head Coach John Harbaugh to play first round pick Lamar Jackson. The move to Jackson many thought was a chance to look ahead to 2019 and see what he could do. Jackson has done so well that the Ravens continue to start him and the team is 7-5 on the year. This record is good enough that if the season ended today they would be in the AFC playoffs.

Much of the recent run of success for the Ravens has been due to their hard hitting defense. The Ravens are only a half game behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North division so playoff positioning is on the line Sunday. The Chiefs high powered offense will try to counter the Ravens defense. RB Spencer Ware will again start in place of Kareem Hunt and one can expect the recently signed RB Charcandrick West to see some playing time.

The last time these two teams met it was in 2015 and the Chiefs enjoyed a 34-14 win. This Sunday expect a closer final score but with the same result a KC Chiefs home win. That’s What I REID Into It for this week.
