Saturday is a day just for business for both teams in this year’s Auto Zone Liberty Bowl game. Oklahoma State has a morning practice scheduled that is set to last just over an hour. The practice is a closed practice so no media interviews on this day from Cowboys camp. The Missouri Tigers Saturday is very similar as they have a team practice in the afternoon set to go for an hour and a half. This team practice is also a closed practice resulting in no media interviews.

While the teams spend the majority of the day working on game plans for Monday’s bowl game, fans and alumni of each school are expected to arrive in big numbers on this day.

Since media reports of the team’s preparation will be reduced one can expect feature stories to help increase interest in the bowl game. Already the national media has talked up both coaches and especially Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy and his mullet. Local media members in Memphis are talking to Mizzou and Oklahoma State players who hail from the Memphis metro area. To no one’s surprise who follows the Tigers from the Kansas City Area Memphis is telling stories about their barbecue and how good it is.

Day 3 may seem kind of quiet for football fans in town for the bowl game but things heat up quickly on Sunday with press conferences, a parade, a pep rally and ending with a presidential gala all set for tomorrow.
