***Raytown Police has corrected the Media Release to state the incident occurred on February 6, 2019 ***On February 2nd, 2019 at approximately 6:18 A.M., officers were called to New Trails Early Learning Center, 6325 Hunter Avenue, Raytown where a 69 year old female had been struck by a vehicle in a parking lot.

Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, who was in and out of consciousness in the parking lot. It appeared that the female pedestrian was walking in the parking lot when she was struck by a vehicle, that was treating the icy parking lot.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police. The female victim was later transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

Due to the serious nature of the incident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol assumed the crash investigation at the scene.
