This week just a couple of teams are left competing for a State Championship in basketball. Post-season awards for winter sports are announced and prep continues for spring sports teams.
Lee’s Summit
Mikeya House – All District in Girls basketball
Sam Lock and Max Whisner – All District in boys basketball
LSHS alum Drew Lock – Competed in NFL Combine on March 1 and 2.
Lee’s Summit North
Javaunte Hawkins, Mikel Henderson and Elijah Smith – All District in boys basketball.
LSN Broncos boys basketball beat Blue Springs South 69-67 in Class 5 Sectional game on Wednesday, March 6.
LSN Broncos boys basketball vs William Chrisman at 6 p.m. in Class 5 Quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 9 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
Lee’s Summit West
LS West Girls basketball beat Truman 53-46 in Class 5 sectional game played on Wednesday, March 6.
LS West girls basketball team vs North Kansas City at 7:45 p.m. in Class 5 quarterfinal round game on Saturday, March 9 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
LS West student section will be sitting in Section 114. LS West will be the home team.
