International Builders & Consultants Inc. (IBC) broke ground Monday on a new Lee’s Summit headquarters that will be constructed on two acres at 2320 NE Independence Ave.

The groundbreaking capped off a big week for the company founded by Brandy McCombs. IBC is celebrating 10 years in business and was just named one of several subcontractors for the demolition of Terminal A at Kansas City International Airport.

When completed, the 11,000-square foot office will be home to about 25 employees. A.L. Huber is the general contractor for the new building and Davidson Architecture + Engineering is the architect.
