The Lee’s Summit R-7 communications team earned national recognition this week from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). The team earned the 2019 Golden Achievement Award for their work around phase one communications with the Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) process.

The NSPRA Golden Achievement Award recognizes exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement. Each entry is judged individually against the contest criteria. “Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan: Building the Big Picture, One Conversation at a Time” earned the award for engagement, communication planning and implementation, and professional approach.

“The work through this year to support the Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan process has been a true collaborative effort among our internal and external stakeholders. We are proud of our community’s engagement in this work and it’s exciting to see this work validated at the national level. We look forward to continuing this same level of quality communication as we continue the future ready component of our work during the 2019-20 school year,” Superintendent Dr. Dennis Carpenter said.
